# Kildare Clinic cookies and browser storage

Google Analytics and Google Maps embeds are optional. Neither loads until its separate category is allowed. Visitors can reject both, accept both or save separate preferences; Cookie settings in the footer reopens the choices. Contact details and website pages remain available when both are rejected.

## Storage

- Kildare Clinic local storage, kildare_cookie_preferences: remembers the saved analytics/maps choices and date. The choice is valid for 180 days; the browser entry remains until cleared, updated or removed by the website.
- Google Analytics cookies, _ga and _ga_*: distinguish visits and measure website use only when analytics is allowed. This website configures an expiry of up to 180 days from cookie creation and disables automatic expiry updates.
- Google Maps embed: may use Google cookies or other browser storage only after maps is allowed. Provider cookie names and durations depend on Google, account and browser settings; no complete fixed inventory is asserted.

Allowing analytics sends usage and browser/device information to Google. Loading maps sends IP address and browser information to Google. Google Fonts requests still load when optional services are rejected. Ordinary external Google Maps/WhatsApp links open those services only when followed.

## Withdrawal

Save a category as off in Cookie settings to withdraw it. Maps are removed. If analytics has started loading, site-accessible Google Analytics cookies are cleared and the page reloads to stop the tag; unsent form entries may be lost. The site cannot clear Google-domain cookies or retract data already sent.
